Jeopardy Progressive Slots

A progressive jackpot is a larger than normal jackpot for a gambling game, often a slot machine or video poker machine, where the jackpot increases a little bit every time someone plays the game. To speed up the process, multiple machines are connected together to form one large, progressive jackpot that grows fairly quickly because several players are helping contribute to the jackpot all at the same time. In the world of micro gaming, the gaming software works the same way.

Most micro gaming machines clearly display the amount of the jackpot as a money value at the top of the game screen. Usually, the progressive jackpot can only be won by hitting the best possible combination – such as a royal flush on a video poker game or five of the most valuable items, such as apples, watermelons, or elephants, together on a slot machine game. Once a player wins the jackpot, the prize then resets to a predetermined minimum level by the online casino. The amount of the jackpot keeps increasing incrementally every time someone plays on a machine connected to the progressive network. The amount that the jackpot rises to each time is set by the microgaming software.

Progressive slot machines have become a huge hit in recent years for micro gamers. One mega popular one is the Jeopardy slot machine, named after the long-running television trivia show. This is one of the Mega Jackpot line of slot games and is usually a 25 cent to $1 slot machine. Mega Jackpots are created by IGT, the same game developer who came up with the ultra-popular Megabucks. Mega Jackpot machines have given out over $3 billion in prizes and have made several hundred people millionaires. The Jeopardy slot machines run on the popular S2000 – Vision Series platform. The configuration of the progressive slot machine for Jeopardy basic slots is 3 reels plus a bonus reel, 1 line and 3 credits. This set up allows 3 pay lines, since you simply multiply the number of reels times the number of lines.

Jeopardy progressive slot machines have some excellent features which make it one of the most entertaining slots game out there. For one thing, it features the signature theme song from the game show and the unmistakable voice of Alex Trebek. The top box shows colorful contestant figures a lighted grid showing the bonus score. The game features three bonus games: single Jeopardy Bonus, Double Jeopardy Bonus and Final Jeopardy Bonus. The Single Jeopardy bonus is intiated when the Jeopardy bonus symbol lands on reel three. The player is prompted to choose a contestant they want to use in the bonus. Then, the game displays a set of bonus credits. Players can accept this bonus or choose the next contestant, hoping to get a larger bonus. If they reject the first two bonuses, they are stuck with the last one.

The Double Jeopardy Bonus is activated when a Jeopardy bonus symbol lands on reel three and the 2x Jeopardy symbols lands on reel four. In this bonus, the player makes the same choices as in the Single Jeopardy Bonus to determine the size of the bonus. The Final Jeopardy Bonus is played the same way as well, but is initiated when the Jeopardy bonus symbol lands on reel three and the 3x Jeopardy symbol lands on reel four. The top reel award is earned when three Jeopardy symbols appear on the first three reel lines and the 3x Jeopardy symbol appears on reel four. The record jackpot for the Jeopardy progressive slots was over $13 million at the Isle of Capri Casino in Biloxi, MS. The machine was a 25 cent slot.
